these are KM, not miles, rememeber that.

and uhh. honestly, i dont see why. i'm never heard reliability horror stories. never really heard ANYTHING about them. the VQ is a good motor, as demonstrated in the Z's and basicly EVERY car infinity makes so... I honestly dont see why these are so cheap. not that i'm complaining

They're cheap because the G sedan has a bumpy ride and the VQ engine doesn't belong in a luxury car (good engine, raspy and buzzy delivery). Also service at the dealer is usually around $1,000 a trip. Also, 24-25mpg on the highway sucks as well.

i didnt find the ride to bad (took a test drive)

also, service @ DEALER < found your problem.

My mother DD's a G37x sedan, and she likes the ride in my E46 coupe better than her Infiniti. She loves the power, but complains that it isn't smooth delivery. Also yes, with her driving grandma-style on her way to work & back she sees an average of 25mpg or less.

True, dealers are expensive for service but they can afford to have the dealer to everything for them.
